end of birthday week

So the end of my birthday week brought no additional weight gained...nor lost. Bummer! I'll be working extra hard this next week.

End of month 1

At the end of the first month my final weight was 138.5. Putting my loss at 2.8% or at 1 lb per week...which is acceptable for me! I don't think it should be too quickly of a loss or it may come back too quickly!

Now I just need to step it up a notch and see if I can continue with the 1 lb per week!!

No progress...

No progress to report this week. I've started running again, but I've also had horrible headaches. I think it must be all the fall pollen in the air. I'm trying to push on anyway! We did get our Wii back from the repair shop so I can do Wii fit on my lunch break (the perks of working at home).

step it up a notch

So the birthday party and wedding have passed. This past week I did get a chance to try out my new running shoes, but I realized just how out of shape from running I am. I over did it a little and ended up being pretty sore. I guess I need to back down a little on my enthusiasm for running.

My weigh in for this week was 139.7 not as low as what I wanted...but it's hard to keep it down when there is super yummy birthday cake hanging around!

The bonus is I now have my husband pretty motivated to get in shape as well!

Week 1

After 1 week of sit ups, push ups and crunches. Along with portion and caloric control my first weight in is 140.2

We'll see how this week ends up after a birthday and a wedding is thrown in the mix!

Starting point...

So here is my starting point for weight...142.5. I'm actually within range for my height 5'5, but my goal is to get in shape, and be slender.

Oh I picked black for my blog because I hear black makes you look thinner!

Weighty Decisions

I'm making a choice, to improve my quality of life. Not just to loose weight, but to get healthy. I think I eat a fairly well balance diet. I don't overdo the amount of food I eat. The problem is finding the time to be active. I juggle 3 kids (4,7,9), a full time job (that starts super early in the morning), and a part-time business I run with my sister. Throw in all the activities my kids have, allergist visits for my oldest (takes about 2 1/2 hrs each time he goes). No to mention all the stuff I need to do around the house and for my church calling. Phew I'm exausted just reading it!

I've decided to make a goal each week for some fitness related activity that I will do. I'll be tracking my progress and posting it. I've always been very self conscious, so this is really hard for me to do. I'll be measuring weight, waist and hips. Those are my "problem" areas. My goal is to continue eating healthy and firm up!
